Wicked at Citizens Bank Opera House

Wicked reimagines the world of Oz through the story of Elphaba and Glinda, exploring friendship, identity, and how someone becomes known as “wicked.” With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the musical is based on Gregory Maguire's novel. Its original Broadway production opened in 2003, and the show has since reached audiences through national tours and international productions.

Recognized songs include “Defying Gravity,” “Popular,” “The Wizard and I,” and “For Good.” The production's fantasy setting, memorable score, and striking stage design have helped make it a lasting favorite with theatre audiences. Wicked is scheduled at Citizens Bank Opera House in Boston on November 15, 2026. This performance falls within the listed Boston engagement, which runs through that date. Specific cast and opening-act information were not provided.

For visitors exploring Boston, the theatre's downtown location makes the show a natural centerpiece for an evening in the city. Check your ticket for performance time and entry details before setting out.

Venue and Seating Information

Citizens Bank Opera House is a historic theatre venue in Boston. Its traditional auditorium layout offers different perspectives on the stage, so seat selection can shape how closely you follow the performers and the production's visual details.

For a large-scale musical such as Wicked, consider choosing seats based on your priorities: closer locations can make facial expressions and stage details easier to see, while a more distant view may help take in the full staging. Exact section recommendations and sightline details were not provided, so review the venue seating map when selecting tickets.
